Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba off the injury report and set to face Cardinals
Jaxon Smith-Njigba carries no injury designation into Sunday as the 4-4 Seahawks, coming off a 34-17 loss, host Arizona as heavy favorites.

The Seattle Seahawks will have Jaxon Smith-Njigba available Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The receiver does not appear on the team's final Week 9 injury report, and he was a full participant in each of the last two practices, USA TODAY Sports reported. With no designation, he should play without restrictions.
The news removes a question mark at a bad time for one. Seattle is coming off a 34-17 home loss to the Chicago Bears, the most points the defense has given up this season. The offense managed only 17 that day. Getting their top wideout through a full week of work is the cleanest news the Seahawks have had since the loss, and it means the passing game goes into a home divisional game with its main option ready.
USA TODAY Sports did not describe any setback that kept Smith-Njigba out of practice earlier in the week. What matters for Sunday is the end of the week: he took every rep in the last two sessions and was not listed.
What it means against Arizona
Seattle sits at 4-4 and has dropped three of its last four. The only win in that stretch was a 20-3 handling of the Kansas City Chiefs. The record undersells the team somewhat. The Seahawks have outscored opponents 185-159 over eight games, and three of the four losses came by three points or fewer: 33-31 at Washington, 32-29 against San Francisco and 17-14 at Denver. Chicago is the only team to beat them by more than a score.
The Cardinals are a familiar opponent. Seattle won the first meeting 31-7 in Arizona, its most lopsided result of the year, and Sunday's rematch is at home on Fox.
The market expects something close to that first game. Seattle is favored on all 12 venues on this site's board, and the moneyline is steep. Novig has the Seahawks at -365, so a $100 stake returns $27.40 in profit, with Arizona at +355. DraftKings has the best Cardinals price at +360, only five cents better, which shows how closely the venues agree on the winner. The sportsbook hold on the moneyline runs from 4.0% to 5.3%.
The spread is where the venues differ. Novig lists Seattle -8.5 at +102. The best Seahawks number elsewhere is -8 at theScore Bet, but it costs -115. Hard Rock Bet has Arizona at +9 for -115, compared with +8.5 at -104 on Novig. So the venues are split between 8 and 9 points, and the price moves with the number.
The total is low. Novig sets it at 38.5, with the over at -106 and the under at +104. FanDuel's 39.5 at -106 is the best under number available. Seattle has averaged a little over 23 points a game, and its last four games combined for an average of about 41.5 points. That puts the posted total slightly below the Seahawks' recent scoring environment.
With Smith-Njigba available, Seattle's offense has its full set of receivers for a game the board expects them to control. Full prices across all venues are on the game page.
